Hi there!
First of all, I just want to say how much I enjoy your podcast series, 1001 Album Club. It’s such a fun and insightful way to dive into these iconic albums, and your discussions always offer a fresh perspective.
Now, onto my question. I recently got a copy of People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm by A Tribe Called Quest, and after receiving it, I listened to your episode about the album. However, I’ve stumbled upon a mystery that I can’t seem to find any information about.
On the album cover, compared to the original tracklist, the songs “Public Enemy” and the last two tracks—“Go Ahead in the Rain” and “Description of a Fool”—are missing. The last two tracks are indeed not on the record. But the first one is there, oddly enough—it’s the first track on side B.
My brain cannot process this! So I thought I’d ask the experts: Is this something you’ve come across before? Or should I start packing for the Bahamas because I’ve got my hands on a rare and valuable mispress/misprint?
Best regards
